– Put an entire sport in the spotlight… By cheating so badly other teams had to setup new cameras to catch you, putting a fat layer of shame on your reputation
– Get beaten up by your southern neighbor at the national sport you’re supposed to be the GOAT at (imagine the USA loosing an American football Championship)

Thing is, we may have lost gold, but we still win as a country by far. Even the women’s hockey, they atleast get to continue to have womans rights in Canada. That’s a bigger win than some gold medal imo.
